The Commissioner in Executive Council, under section 7 of the Aboriginal Custom Adoption Recognition Act and every enabling power, makes the Aboriginal Custom Adoption Recognition Regulations.
ABORIGINAL CUSTOM ADOPTION
RECOGNITION REGULATIONS
In these regulations, "certificate" means a certificate recognizing a custom adoption referred to in paragraph 3(2)(a) of the Aboriginal Custom Adoption Recognition Act.
The fee for a certified copy of an original birth registration statement set out in Schedule C to the Vital Statistics Regulations made under the Vital Statistics Act is waived where the custom adoption commissioner requires the certified copy. R-006-2013,s.2.
The form of the certificate is set out in the Schedule.
The Minister may pay to a custom adoption commissioner an honorarium in an amount determined by the Minister
(a) for each application which results in the filing of a certificate in the Supreme Court; or
(b) for each application for which the custom adoption commissioner declines to issue a certificate.
