Conservation Area Regulations

The following conservation areas are designated:

Bluenose Calving Critical Wildlife Area I/CW/01, Bluenose Calving Critical Wildlife Area I/CW/02 and Bluenose Calving Critical Wildlife Area S/CW/01 are conservation areas only during the period of May 25 to June 15 of each year.

SCHEDULE A

1. Critical Wildlife Area I/CW is subdivided into Bluenose Calving Critical Wildlife Area I/CW/01 and Bluenose Calving Critical Wildlife Area I/CW/02, as set out below:

BLUENOSE CALVING

CRITICAL WILDLIFE AREA I/CW/01

(a) All that portion of the Northwest Territories, as shown on the National Topographic Series Maps 97C of Franklin Bay, Edition 2, 97F of Malloch Hill, Edition 3, 107D of Stanton, Edition 2 and 107E of Cape Dalhousie, Edition 2, produced at a scale of 1:250,000 by the Canada Map Office, Department of Natural Resources, Ottawa, and being more particularly described as follows:

(b) Commencing at a point on the low tide mark of Wood Bay at approximate latitude 69E45N N and approximate longitude 128E48N18O W;

(c) thence northeasterly and southeasterly following the low tide mark of Wood Bay, Harrowby Bay, Franklin Bay and Langton Bay to its intersection with approximate latitude 69E19N11O N and longitude 125E30N W;

(d) thence south along longitude 125E30N W to its intersection with the east bank of the Horton River at approximate latitude 69E05N24O N;

BLUENOSE CALVING

(b) Commencing at the point of intersection of latitude 68E N and longitude 123E W; (c) thence north along longitude 123E W to its intersection with the low tide mark of the mainland in Amundsen Gulf at approximate latitude 69E49N15O N;

(d) thence easterly and southeasterly following the low tide mark of Amundsen Gulf to its intersection with approximately 69E33N25O N and 120E 40N51O W;

(e) thence south along longitude 120E40N51O W to its intersection with latitude 68E N;
