The Commissioner, on the recommendation of the Minister, under section 9 of the Garage Keepers Lien Act and every enabling power, makes the Garage Keepers Lien Form Regulations.

The prescribed form of the warrant referred to in paragraph 4(2)(a) of the Garage Keepers Lien Act is set out in the Schedule.

The Garage Keepers Lien Forms Regulations, established by regulation numbered R-045-91, are repealed.

These regulations come into force May 7, 2001.

SCHEDULE (Section 1)

WARRANT

TO THE SHERIFF OF THE NORTHWEST TERRITORIES:

You are hereby directed to seize a certain motor vehicle described as follows:

(describe motor vehicle by make, model, model year and serial number),

the property of...................................... of ............................................ in the Northwest Territories and now in the (name of community)

possession of ................................................................ at ........................................................, Northwest Territories, (describe location of motor vehicle) which motor vehicle is subject to a garage keepers lien registered in the Personal Property Registry on .................................................., under registration number .............................. Seizure is directed to realize the sum of $..................... and costs, the sum owing being for (specify which of the following applies):

(a) storage of the motor vehicle for the period ending ..................................................; (month, day, year)

(b) repair or maintenance of the motor vehicle, which was completed on ..................................................; (month, day, year)

(c) the price of accessories or parts furnished for the motor vehicle on ................................................... (month, day, year)

I (or We) hereby indemnify you for your fees, charges and expenses and any claims for damages in respect of the seizure of the motor vehicle and anything done in relation to the seizure.
