1.

For the purposes set out in section 2, the judicial centre of Hay River, which comprises that part of the Territorial Court located in Hay River, is continued.

2.

Where

(a) the cause of action in any civil proceedings arises, or

(b) the defendant in any such proceedings resides in the area described in the Schedule,

the proceedings may be commenced, entitled and continued and all documents in connection with the proceedings filed, in accordance with the Rules of Court, in the judicial centre of Hay River.

SCHEDULE (Section 2)

All that portion of the Northwest Territories, commencing at a point on the boundary between the Northwest Territories and the Yukon Territory at latitude 63°30N N;

thence due east along latitude 63°30N N to longitude 120°00N W;

thence southeasterly in a straight line to the intersection of the north bank, being the mouth of the Slave River with the east shore of Great Slave Lake at approximately latitude 61°15N N and approximate longitude 113°45N W;

thence easterly and southerly along the east bank of the Slave River to latitude 60°00N N;

thence due west along latitude 60°00N N to the boundary between the Northwest Territories and the Yukon Territory;

thence northerly and westerly along said boundary to the point of commencement.
