The Minister, under subsection 5(4) of the Territorial Parks Act, as amended by An Act to Amend the Territorial Parks Act, S.N.W.T. 2003, c.8, and every enabling power, makes the Wayside Parks Regulations.

The Wayside Parks set out in items 5, 9 to 16, 19 and 21 to 23 of the Schedule to the Wayside Parks Order, established by regulation numbered R-102-95, are continued as Wayside Parks under the names set out, and consisting of the lands described, in items 1 to 13 of the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

1. Boundary Creek Territorial Park

Lot 873, Group 964, L.T.O. Plan 458, CLSR Plan 53629, comprising a total of 0.692 ha and being located adjacent to km 308.994 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 3.

2. Cameron River Crossing Territorial Park

Lots 1009, 1010, 1011, 1012, Quad 85 I/5, L.T.O. Plan 1871, CLSR Plan 70841, comprising a total of 43.85 ha and being located adjacent to km 50 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4.

3. Chan Lake Territorial Park

Lot 1, Group 913, L.T.O. Plan 668, CLSR Plan 53854, comprising a total of 1.08 ha and being located adjacent to km 121.5 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 3.

4. Dory Point Territorial Park

Lot 5, Group 863, L.T.O. Plan 663, CLSR Plan 53613, comprising a total of 4.17 ha and being located adjacent to km 21 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 3.

5. Kakisa River Territorial Park

(a) Lot 4, Group 863, L.T.O. Plan 460, CLSR Plan 53627, and an unsurveyed parcel contained within boundaries as follows:

(b) All that portion of the Northwest Territories lying adjacent to Northwest Territories Highway No. 1, Lot 4, Group 863, L.T.O. Plan 460, CLSR Plan 53627, and the Kakisa River, being described as follows:

(c) Commencing at the C.L.S. Standard Post, at the southwest corner of Lot 4, Group 863, as shown on L.T.O. Plan 460, CLSR Plan 53627; (d) thence in a westerly direction along the northerly limit of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1, as shown on L.T.O. Plan 460, CLSR Plan 53627, a distance of 251 m to a point;

(e) thence northerly and perpendicular to the northerly limit of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1, a distance of 485 m to a point;

(f) thence easterly and parallel to the northerly limit of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1, a distance of 250 m approximately, to the ordinary high water mark of the Kakisa River;

(g) thence southerly along the ordinary high water mark of the Kakisa River to the northerly boundary of Lot 4, Group 863;

(h) thence westerly along the northerly boundary of Lot 4, a distance of 104.67 m more or less to the northwesterly corner of said Lot 4;

(i) thence southerly along the westerly boundary of said Lot 4, a distance of 91.44 m more or less to the point of commencement;

(j) the whole comprising a total of approximately 14.5 ha and being located adjacent to km 171 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1.

6. Madeline Lake Territorial Park

Lot 930, Group 964, L.T.O. Plan 1433, CLSR Plan 67579, comprising a total of 1.42 ha and being located adjacent to km 24 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4.

7. McNallie Creek Territorial Park

(a) All that certain parcel of land lying near the Hamlet of Enterprise in the Northwest Territories at approximate latitude 60 47 00 N and approximate longitude 116 34 30 W and more particularly described as follows:

(b) Commencing at a point on the northeasterly boundary of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1, said point being 12 m measured northwesterly from the point on the northeasterly boundary of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1 perpendicular to the centre of the northwest end of the McNallie Creek bridge; (c) thence northeasterly a distance of 250 m to a point;

(d) thence at right angles southeasterly a distance of 300 m to a point;

(e) thence at right angles southwesterly a distance of 250 m to a point on the northeasterly boundary of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1;

(f) thence along the northeasterly boundary of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1 northwesterly 300 m to the point of commencement;

(g) the whole comprising a total of 7.5 ha and being located adjacent to km 121 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 1.

8. Paniksak Territorial Park

(a) All that portion of land lying in the Hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk in the Northwest Territories, more particularly described as an unsurveyed parcel of land contained within boundaries as follows:

(b) Commencing at a survey monument, located at the most northeasterly corner of Lot 1, Block 34, L.T.O. Plan 1652, CLSR Plan 69231;

(c) thence southerly in a straight line along the easterly boundary of Lots 1, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block 34, L.T.O. Plan 1652, CLSR Plan 69231, a distance of 183.4 m more or less to a survey monument located at the southeast corner of Lot 10, Block 34, L.T.O. Plan 1652, CLSR Plan 69231;

(d) thence southeasterly in a straight line along the easterly boundary of Lot 1, Block 35, L.T.O. Plan 1935, CLSR Plan 71295, a distance of 30 m more or less to a survey monument located at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 35, L.T.O. Plan 1935, CLSR Plan 71295;

(e) thence southeasterly in a straight line along the easterly boundary of a road right-of-way, Block 35, L.T.O. 9. Pontoon Lake Territorial Park

Lot 877, Group 964, L.T.O. Plan 665, CLSR Plan 55361, comprising a total of 1.91 ha and being located adjacent to km 27 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4.

10. Powder Point Territorial Park

(a) All that portion of the Northwest Territories, adjacent to Northwest Territories Highway No. 4 (Ingraham Trail) and including Powder Point as shown on Topographic Map 85 I/12, produced by the Surveys and Mapping Branch, Department of Energy, Mines and Resources Canada, in 1985, and lying within the boundaries described as follows:

(b) Commencing at the point of intersection of the northerly limit of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4, and longitude 113 44 47 W;

(c) thence easterly in a straight line to the point of intersection of latitude 62 31 57 N and longitude

113 44 47 W;

(d) thence easterly in a straight line to the point of intersection of latitude 62 31 57 N and longitude

113 42 06 W;

(e) thence southerly in a straight line to the point of intersection of the northerly limit of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4 and longitude

113 42 06 W;

(f) thence westerly along the northerly limit of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4 to the point of commencement;

(g) the whole comprising approximately 425 ha of land and being located adjacent to km 39 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4.

11. Prosperous Lake Territorial Park

Lot 879, Group 964, L.T.O. Plan 667, CLSR Plan 55517, comprising a total of 0.652 ha and being located adjacent to km 19.312 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4.

12. Salt Mountain Territorial Park

All those lands within 30.48 m of the center line of Northwest Territories Highway No. 5 which may be described as follows:

(a) Commencing at a point on the northerly right- of-way of Northwest Territories Highway No. 5, said point being located at approximately km 233.355 plus 974.141 m;

(b) thence north 8 8 E 39.62 m;

(c) thence south 81 52 E 152.4 m;

(d) thence north 8 8 E 215.524 m; (e) thence north 8 46 E 399.715 m;

(f) thence north 70 27 E 660.806 m;

(g) thence north 41 21 E 292.608 m to the point of termination;

(h) and a parcel, commencing at the point of termination of the centre line of Northwest Territories Highway No. 5;

(i) thence north 18 39 W 48.768 m;

(j) thence north 71 21 E 246.999 m;

(k) thence south 18 39 E 118.872 m;

(l) thence south 71 21 E 246.888 m;

(m) thence south 18 39 E 118.872 m;

(n) thence south 71 21 W 246.888 m;

(o) thence north 18 39 W 70.104 m to the point of termination of the centre line, excepting there from the land within the Northern Canada Power Commission right-of-way;

(p) the whole comprising approximately 13.769 ha, and being located adjacent to km 234.32 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 5.

13. Yellowknife River Territorial Park

Lots 944 and 945, Group 964, L.T.O. Plan 990, CLSR Plan 59627, comprising a total of 1.8 ha and being located adjacent to km 8.0 of Northwest Territories Highway No. 4.
