The Commissioner in Executive Council, under section 63 of the Waters Act and every enabling power, makes the Expropriation Fees Regulations.
AMOUNT AND INTEREST
For the purposes of subsection 61(4) of the Act, for every billable hour that each employee of the Government of the Northwest Territories assigned to an expropriation works on the expropriation, fees are prescribed in the amount of twice the hourly rate of each employee prorated from the employee’s salary per diem, based on a productivity rate of 220 days per year, plus employee benefits (20% of total chargeable salaries).
The rate of interest payable in respect of overdue fees shall be calculated in accordance with sections 1 and 2 of the Interest Rate Regulations made under the Financial Administration Act.
COMING INTO FORCE
These regulations come into force April 1, 2014.
